Today's show was done using the Sennheiser PC145 Gaming Headphones. Not too shabby. Remember our usual microphone is a premium mic, and this is meant for TeamSpeak.
I’ve got a Logitech Harmony 720 Remote, and it is the r0X0rZ! Also, did you know that TEAC makes an iPod alarm clock? Neither did I, until now. Also, I briefly wrap up the Sony VAIO UX50, including this utterly dreadful review at CNet, and the Linksys NSLU2. I also mention the Denon 3806, Onkyo TXSR803, and Yamaha RX-V2600, if you’re in the market for a great receiver in the $1000 price bracket.
 
HDMI1.3 has been passed, and there was a ticker tape parade down Main Street… oh wait. No one cares too much, okay. Well, there’s a rumor that Samsung may, or may not, release a hybrid HD-DVD + Blu-ray player. We all know it’s gonna happen, just a matter of who and when.
 
We got our hands on the Sony Alpha A100 DSLR, which is the result of the Konica Minolta buyout. Very interesting. What else is happening in money news? Why Bill Gates is giving it away (and no, not if you forward this email to your 20,000 closest friends), the Xbox 360 might be giving some up, and VOIP providers will be hemorrhaging it after the 7% universal access tax, that’s what!
 
Kurzweil, author of plenty of zany transhumanism texts, has released the Portable Reader. Hear about how it works. Oh man, I can’t wait to be blind. Oh, wait no. Too bad BumpTop is still a little out of reach for them. :(
 
Will the Wii change its name? Oh please for the LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY YES. Okay, it is a rumor, but hopefully a very very very very true rumor. Besides, if there are enough MMO players, what does it matter, since they will buy fewer games, and we all know that’s where console companies make their money.
