The DT Podcast Returns!
Topics in this Podcast:
Sorry about my absence – things get crazy when you are busy decoding brain signals. But, we’re back. Today’s show is more of a rundown of my Vista migration experience on several PCs. What works, what doesn’t and what is frustrating? Listen to find out.
I talk a little about my Tablet PC, the Gateway CX210, which I have grown far too attached to. If you’re a student, I highly recommend trying one. They will change the way you work (for the better). Check out this site if you want more student Tablet PC related tips, or my upcoming blog. Gateway has also introduced an ultralight tablet, the E-155C, which I should be getting in the next few days. There is a review of HP’s tablet, the tx1000, posted on the website earlier this month if you are interested in checking out the features it offers.
I am using Audacity and the Sennheiser PC145 headset for this show, so tell me what you think. Adobe Audition 1.5 and 2 don’t work in Vista, and Creative is a worthless company that has the worst Vista support of any manufacturer I’ve encountered. Check out their forums if you don’t believe me!
Early numbers show Blu-Ray outselling HD-DVD, but with Wal-Mart’s recent adoption of HD-DVD as their format of choice, will this change anytime soon? Will Samsung’s recently announced hybrid player make the whole debate irrelevant?
Dell is bringing back Windows XP as an option for Home & Home Office customers. Too bad support will be yanked in 2008 by Microsoft.
Wanna buy me a drink? Pleeeease? You can just email it!
Blackberry’s recent outage has been attributed to a suddenly 18 hour reprieve from thumbs cramps seen across the nation.
MySpace is launching their Digg clone. Like, vote for news that’s like, you know, like important. Expect the authors of the words ‘there’, ‘their’, and ‘they’re’ and ‘too’ versus ‘to’ to be found with their wrists slit.
Xbox360 Elite! Woohoo! PS3 20GB? No more.
Next week we will return to a more structured show. See you then!
